Cheap Washing Machine in Israel: What's Worth Buying and What You Give Up (2026)

Updated November 6, 2026. Written by Binyamin Elkalay. Compared on specs and Israeli shop prices, no lab testing.

A cheap washing machine worth buying in Israel in November 2026 costs about ₪⁦1,250–1,650⁩ (NIS): a new 8 kg machine from a big brand, with an inverter motor and warranty. Per store prices, the Samsung WW8STA046AH starts at about ₪1,260, the Electrolux EW6F4842AB at about ₪1,490 and the Bosch WAN24170BY at about ₪1,630. Below ₪1,000 there are ⁦6–7⁩ kg machines from lesser-known brands that suit a rental, but with weaker spin and less predictable service.

We did not test these machines physically. This guide is based on specs published by manufacturers and stores, price ranges we saw on Israeli price comparison pages, and the warranty terms sellers list. Below: what you get at each budget, how to tell whether a washing machine on sale is really a deal, used vs new, and hidden costs.

What to look at before buying

What to checkWhat it isOur recommendation
Total priceThe price on the page is not always what you pay: delivery, carrying it in, removal and extended warranty cost extra.Compare the final price including delivery and warranty. At Electra, for example, a 1+4 warranty on 9 kg machines costs ₪199 per the product page.
CapacityVery cheap machines are usually ⁦6–7⁩ kg.7 kg is enough for a couple. Anyone with children: 8 kg and up. The gap between 7 and 8 kg on a cheap machine is usually a few dozen to a few hundred shekels.
SpinMachines under ₪1,000 sometimes spin at only ⁦800–1,000⁩ RPM.At least 1,200 RPM if you line-dry in winter. An 800 RPM machine leaves laundry much wetter.
Energy labelSome cheap machines are rated D on the new label. The electricity bill difference between D and A is a few dozen shekels a year for a couple. Not a deal-breaker, but if prices are close, prefer A.
Warranty and serviceWith cheap brands, who provides the warranty decides whether the machine is fixed in days or weeks.Ask in writing for the importer's name and the warranty length. If it only says "manufacturer warranty" with no name, ask who the manufacturer is and who the technician is.
NoiseCheap machines are louder during spin, usually about ⁦76–⁦80 dB⁩⁩.If the machine is in an open kitchen or next to a bedroom, look for a noise figure before buying.
New vs displaySome cheap offers are display units, surplus or refurbished machines. That is fine if you know it: check that it is stated on the invoice and what the warranty is. Do not pay a new-machine price for a display unit.

What is the cheapest washing machine worth buying?

The cheapest washing machine worth buying for most homes is a new 8 kg machine from a big brand, with ⁦1,200–1,400⁩ RPM and a written warranty, for about ₪⁦1,250–1,650.⁩

Why there? Because below that amount you start giving up things you feel every day: capacity, spin and service. And above it, each extra shekel mostly buys convenience (Wi-Fi, steam, quiet), not cleaner laundry.

Per store prices in November 2026, the cheapest big-brand models are:

  • Samsung WW8STA046AH: 8 kg, 1,400 RPM, from about ₪1,260.
  • Samsung WW9STA046AH: 9 kg, 1,400 RPM, from about ₪1,310.
  • Electrolux EW6F4842AB: 8 kg, 1,400 RPM, from about ₪1,490.
  • Electrolux EA6F4824CXM: 8 kg, 1,200 RPM, from about ₪1,470.
  • Bosch WAN24170BY: 8 kg, 1,200 RPM, from about ₪1,630.
  • LG WFS8014WB: 8 kg, 1,200 RPM, slim model, from about ₪1,750.
  • Bosch WAN28278IL: 8 kg, 1,400 RPM, BSH warranty, from about ₪1,870.

Alongside them, Electra 9 kg machines from about ₪1,390 per the product page at Payngo, with an option for a 5-year warranty for an extra ₪199.

The starting price on comparison pages is from one store, sometimes with conditions (long delivery, store warranty, self pickup). So always check the second and third cheapest offers too, and choose the one with the clearest terms.

Who is less than that right for? Students, a rental for a year or two, one person or a second machine. In those cases a ⁦6–7⁩ kg machine for about ₪⁦850–1,100⁩ can be the right call, as long as you know what you are giving up. The general recommendation for most homes, without a hard budget limit, is in our best washing machine guide.

One more distinction: a cheap machine from a big brand is usually a base model from an existing range, with the same spare parts and technicians as the expensive models. That is a real advantage over a cheap machine from a small brand, where parts and service depend on a single distributor.

Washing machine under ₪1,000, ₪1,500 and ₪2,000: what you get

Under ₪1,000 you get ⁦6–7⁩ kg from a small brand; under ₪1,500 you get ⁦7–9⁩ kg with ⁦1,200–1,400⁩ RPM; and under ₪2,000 you get ⁦8–9⁩ kg from a big brand with importer warranty.

Washing machines under ₪1,000, per store prices:

  • Fujicom FJ-WM69: 6 kg, 1,000 RPM, from about ₪850.
  • Fujicom FJ-WM3070: 7 kg, 1,000 RPM, from about ₪700.
  • Hoover H3W47TE: 7 kg, 1,400 RPM, from about ₪790 in a handful of stores.
  • Crystal MW 6110, Normande KL680, General GE6000, Midea MF100W60: 6 kg, ⁦800–1,000⁩ RPM, about ₪⁦950–1,000.⁩

Washing machines under ₪1,500:

  • Midea MFL70-U1201: 7 kg, 1,200 RPM, from about ₪1,040.
  • Normande ND7012 and Crystal WC 7200: 7 kg, 1,200 RPM, about ₪⁦1,030–1,260.⁩
  • TCL P610FLW: 10 kg, 1,400 RPM, from about ₪1,340 (few stores; check service).
  • Samsung WW8STA046AH and WW9STA046AH: ⁦8–9⁩ kg, from about ₪⁦1,260–1,310.⁩
  • Electra EL900: 9 kg, about ₪1,390.
  • Electrolux EW6F4842AB and EA6F4824CXM: 8 kg, from about ₪⁦1,470–1,490.⁩

Washing machines under ₪2,000:

  • Bosch WAN24170BY and WAN28278IL, LG WFS8014WB and WFS9014WW, Samsung WW90CGC045AE and WW90DG5U35AE, Electrolux EWF7028M6WA, AEG LF61842BM: ⁦8–9⁩ kg, ⁦1,200–1,400⁩ RPM, starting from about ₪⁦1,630–1,950.⁩
  • Electra EL100386 and Electrolux EN6F3149FXM: 10 kg under ₪2,000 at some sellers. See our 10 kg washing machine guide.

These figures are the starting price on comparison pages; the average across stores is a few hundred shekels higher. If you see a price significantly below the range, find out why.

What you give up with a cheap machine

With a cheap machine you mainly give up spin, quiet running, energy savings and a service network; basic wash quality is more similar than it seems.

A practical comparison, based on the specs sellers publish:

  • Spin: cheap 6 kg machines reach ⁦800–1,000⁩ RPM (Fujicom FJ-WM69, Midea MF100W60). Big-brand 8 kg machines reach ⁦1,200–1,400.⁩ You feel the difference in how long laundry takes to dry on the line, especially in winter.
  • Consumption: the class D Midea MFL70-U1201 declares about ⁦69 kWh⁩ per 100 cycles; an efficient ⁦8–9⁩ kg machine gets to about ⁦44–50.⁩ For a couple washing 3 times a week, that is a difference of about ⁦30–⁦35 kWh⁩⁩ a year, a few dozen shekels.
  • Noise: per sellers, the Midea MFL70-U1201 reaches about ⁦80 dB⁩ and the Fujicom FJ-WM69 about ⁦76 dB⁩. Quiet machines reach ⁦50–⁦53 dB⁩⁩ while washing.
  • Load sensing: on Electrolux, Samsung and Bosch models it is already there in the base model; on the cheapest machines, not always.
  • Service: with a small brand, check who the importer is, whether there are technicians in your area and whether spare parts exist.

What you do not give up, even on a cheap machine: a 15-minute quick program, child lock, delay start and a steam or hygiene program. Those are standard now.

How to think about it in money? A ₪1,000 machine that lasts 5 years costs about ₪200 a year. A ₪1,700 machine that lasts 10 years costs about ₪170 a year. There is no official lifespan figure for each brand, but long warranty, an inverter motor and service from a known importer are the best signs you have before buying.

A note on size: on a budget under ₪1,500 you can also get 9 and 10 kg, but at that price you usually give up advanced load sensing and a good rating. For a family of ⁦3–4,⁩ an 8 kg washing machine from a big brand is usually the right balance of price and size.

Priorities when your budget is tight

When every ₪100 counts, invest first in warranty and capacity, then in spin, and only at the end in features.

This order follows what affects life with the machine the most:

  • Warranty with an importer's name: a first-year fault without warranty can cost a third of a cheap machine's price. This is the first thing not to give up.
  • Capacity that fits the household: a machine that is too small means an extra cycle almost every day, which costs time, electricity and wear. 7 kg for a couple, 8 kg and up for anyone with children.
  • Spin of at least 1,200 RPM: in winter this is the difference between laundry that dries in a day and laundry that dries in two.
  • Inverter motor: quieter and wears less. Already on many cheap Samsung, Electrolux and Bosch models.
  • Only after that: steam, Wi-Fi, a big screen, lots of programs.

Practical example: on a ₪1,500 budget, the Samsung WW8STA046AH (8 kg, 1,400 RPM, inverter motor) is better for most homes than a 6 kg, 1,000 RPM machine for ₪1,000 with ₪500 left in your pocket. The difference pays for itself in fewer cycles and drier laundry.

And what if the budget really is ₪1,000 and not a shekel more? Then choose a 7 kg machine with 1,200 RPM, like the Midea MFL70-U1201, and ask in writing who provides the warranty. That is the most reasonable compromise at that budget.

Washing machine on sale: how to spot a real deal

A washing machine on sale is a real deal only when the price is lower than the usual price of the same model across many stores, not just lower than the "previous price" the store itself shows.

Product pages show lots of "previous price" next to "special price". For example, the Electra EL1015BL page showed about ₪3,080 vs about ₪2,590, and the EL100386 about ₪1,960 vs about ₪1,645. That can be a real sale, but the way to know is to compare with other stores.

Sale checklist:

  • Compare the price to the range on a price comparison page for the exact same model. If most stores sell at ₪1,900 and one at ₪1,650, it is probably a sale.
  • Check the suffix. On Bosch, the IL suffix is the official importer's model; suffixes like BY, GB or PL are usually for other markets, and then the warranty is the seller's.
  • Ask whether the machine is new, a display unit or refurbished. On comparison pages we saw offers marked "refurbished / surplus / display" at prices a few hundred shekels lower.
  • Watch out for Eilat prices: they exclude VAT (Eilat is a VAT-free zone) and are for purchase in a store there only.
  • Check whether the sale includes extended warranty, and how much it costs without the sale. At Electra, per the page, 1+4 is free on 10 kg and up until 31.12.2026, and ₪199 extra on 9 kg. For Samsung, one seller lists 4 years of service for ₪99.
  • Read the delivery terms: delivery within 14 business days, self pickup only or a surcharge per floor can cancel part of the saving.

When are there sales? Prices on comparison pages move almost every week, with notable drops around holidays, year end and Black Friday. If you are not in a hurry, track two or three models for a few weeks. Sales are more prominent on the best-selling ⁦8–9⁩ kg models.

Used vs new: when a second-hand machine is worth it

A used (yad 2) washing machine is worth it only if it is much cheaper than a basic new machine (i.e. less than about ₪⁦600–800⁩), young, from a brand with available spare parts, and checked running before you pay.

Why is the bar so low? Because a new 8 kg machine from a big brand now costs about ₪⁦1,260–1,650,⁩ with warranty. A used machine usually comes without warranty, and a single repair of a pump, heating element or bearings can cost hundreds of shekels. If the difference is small, the new one is cheaper overall.

What to check on a used machine:

  • Age: ask for an invoice or check the sticker. A machine over ⁦5–6⁩ years old is a gamble.
  • Full run: see it working, including a full spin. Unusual noise, vibration or a burning smell are warning signs.
  • Door seal: look for tears and black mold. Replacing it costs money.
  • Drum: turn it by hand. Knocking or side-to-side movement can indicate worn bearings.
  • Drawer and filter: heavy limescale and lots of residue indicate poor maintenance.
  • Leaks: put paper under the machine while it runs.
  • Transit bolts: make sure they come with the machine, otherwise transport may damage the drum.

A used Miele, Bosch or AEG can be a good deal if it is young and checked. But there is no way to know in advance how many years it has left. With display or refurbished machines from a store, check what the warranty is; on comparison pages we saw some with a one-year store warranty. For Miele display machines, see our Miele washing machine guide.

In any case, transporting a used machine costs money, and sometimes you also need a technician to connect it. Add that to the price before comparing.

And if you are buying from a private person, ask to see the machine running in their home, not "disconnected and ready to move". A machine you cannot run before buying is a total gamble.

Budget brands: what to check before buying

With budget brands like Midea, Fujicom, Normande, Crystal, TCL, Beko, Hoover and Haier, the key question is not the spec but who stands behind the warranty.

What we saw on product pages in November 2026:

  • Midea: one seller lists Hamilton as the importer with a 3-year warranty, another 5 years. Midea has models from 6 to 12 kg, for example the 12 kg MF200W120W from about ₪1,980.
  • Haier: one seller lists Newpan as the importer.
  • Fujicom: the FJ-WM69 page shows no importer name; one seller offers 10 years on the motor on its own terms.
  • Electra: per the product page, Electra is the importer and gives a 1+4 warranty on conditions.
  • Samsung WW8STA046AH: several sellers list Samsung Israel, and one lists a 12-month warranty.

What to ask the seller for:

  • The name of the importer or warranty provider, in writing.
  • The warranty length, and what it covers (parts, labor, motor).
  • A service center phone number, and confirmation there are technicians in your area.
  • A Hebrew manual and an Israeli plug, as the Standards Institution of Israel recommends.

A 10-year warranty "on the motor" sounds good, but the motor is not the part that fails most. Pumps, seals, sensors and control boards are usually covered only for the first year or three. Read the terms.

If your budget allows another ₪⁦200–400,⁩ a basic Samsung, Electrolux or Bosch machine gives you service from a known importer and available spare parts. See our Samsung, Electrolux and Bosch washing machine guides.

Hidden costs: delivery, installation, electricity and water

The price of a cheap washing machine is only part of the cost; delivery, extended warranty, removal and maintenance can add ₪⁦100–400.⁩

What we saw in stores:

  • Delivery: most offers on comparison pages have free delivery, with delivery times of ⁦3–14⁩ business days. Some stores charge delivery (for example about ₪⁦100–150⁩), and some offer self pickup only.
  • Floors: carrying it up stairs without an elevator is sometimes extra.
  • Removing the old machine: some stores offer it, sometimes for a fee. Ask when ordering.
  • Extended warranty: sometimes free on promotion, sometimes ₪⁦99–199.⁩

And over the years:

  • Electricity: the gap between a class D machine and an efficient one is a few dozen shekels a year for a couple, more for a family.
  • Water: an efficient machine uses about ⁦45–52⁩ liters per Eco cycle per the spec. Washing full loads saves more than any model choice.
  • Maintenance: a cheap machine suffers from limescale just like an expensive one. A monthly drum clean and a clean filter extend its life. Instructions are in our washing machine cleaning guide.

After delivery, remove the transit bolts before the first run and level the machine. A cheap machine standing crooked will shake during spin and wear out fast.

And if the space at home is especially small, a slim or compact machine can actually be more expensive; see our small washing machine guide.

The bottom line

Cheapest worth buying: 8 kg from a big brand, about ₪⁦1,250–1,650.⁩ Under ₪1,000: ⁦6–7⁩ kg, ⁦800–1,000⁩ RPM, small brands.

Should I buy a used washing machine?

Only if it is much cheaper than a basic new machine, young, from a brand with spare parts, and checked running including the spin. A new 8 kg machine with warranty now costs about ₪⁦1,260–1,650,⁩ and a single repair on a used machine can cost hundreds of shekels.
